Your veterinarian, an emergency clinic, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435, or the Pet Poison Helpline at (855) 764-7661. Both hotlines are staffed 24/7 and a real call beats any calculator. We read email in business hours and cannot triage a sick animal.

Found a number that's wrong?

Please tell us. Include the calculator, the inputs you used, and the source you're comparing against — a veterinary reference, a product label, a published feeding chart, or your own vet's guidance. Nutrition guidance and toxicity thresholds get revised, and a citation lets us verify and fix the page quickly. Verified corrections go live with an updated review date.

Want a calculator we don't have?

Tell us the question and the animal. We build tools where there's real veterinary math behind the answer — energy requirements, dose thresholds, published life-stage tables. Where the honest answer is "it depends on your vet's exam," a calculator would be guessing with a straight face.

Same address. This site is supported by display advertising and clearly labeled referrals; we don't publish sponsored articles, guest posts, or paid links inside our editorial content, so please don't pitch those.

What we can't help with

We're not a veterinary practice and we can't diagnose, prescribe, or advise on your specific animal — only a vet who can examine your pet can do that. Our methodology page documents where every formula and threshold on the site comes from, which answers most "where did this number come from?" questions before you have to ask.
